Humboldt Squid Seem to Be Thriving–Thanks to Ocean Dead Zones

Coastal California City Turns to Desalination to Quench Its Thirst

When Sand City, Calif., officially opens the spigot to the state’s first full-scale seawater desalination facility Wednesday, residents throughout the city will begin tapping into the Pacific Ocean as a source of drinking water. Earth Hour heads into record territory

Gland, Switzerland: A record Earth Hour is looming with more countries now signed up for the event than for last year’s globe circling lights out for climate action.
